There are many reasons to use an e-reader and read e-books instead of paper books – easy access to tons of books at all times, portability of an entire library when traveling, price point, and availability of self-published authors that aren’t in print. Business Insider recently published an article stating that privacy is one of the most important factors because no one knows what you are reading on your e-reader.
The point is a good one and I do understand it but it’s sad to me that anyone is ashamed of what they are reading – no matter what it is. Why be embarrassed because you are reading erotica or the latest James Patterson instead of Ulysses or War and Peace? Reading tastes are as eclectic as people and I’m just happy people are reading, no matter what they happen to like.
